It isn't Irir-Samaale, it's Irir Samaale, as in Irir, son of Samaale. Samaale has a father as well, Hiil.
Many clans are descended from Samaale but not Irir, such as Xawadle and Saransoor.
Digil and Mirifle genealogies in turn all end at Digil Diinsame Umur Sabe, and Sabe has a father as well, the same one, Hiil.

According to some rather dubious genealogies, Hiil is a descendant of Aqil ibn Abu Talib, but this is a bridge too far for me to accept.

This is indeed clan topic but so is half of the threads in this section.

Anyways, if we go by what Daroods and Isaaqs themselves say and what Hawiye and Dir say, then it's pretty straightforward task in answering who is a real somali and who isn't. A group of Somalis who self-admittedly say they came in boats from arab lands, can't be real Somalis. At best they're half Somalis.

Of course all of this is nonsense. The origin of ethnic Somalis is Southern Ethiopia which is confirmed by linguistic analysis and genetic findings. But that is for another debate.
