"guilt-by-association"....morality and vengeance? exactly what do you mean? those two can be mutually exclusive at times.

if you're referring to someone being linked to another person's fallacies because of their friendship or association....in the context of morality, i think people aught to be allocated the right to reserve such judgment if they so choose, u are the friends you keep per se,

however, in the sense of serving penalties("vengeance" "repercussions" etc).. imposing punishment in that regard should be designated for the sole perpetrators of whatever crime alleged and not those in association by means of mere friendship..unless otherwise proven in some fold that they're an accessory to the crime.
That was my main idea and point of this thread. I am interested to know if family members are fair-game in "serving penalties," I have my own opinions, but I would like to hear what other members think or feel.

I believe in showing as much compassion as your enemy shows you.

I have had a falling out with a distant adeer who wronged my fam many years ago when I was a mere young teen. I still remember it and inshallah, I will seek revenge against him and his children when they become teens.

Revenge is bitter sweet.
Follow that wisdom and you would never be disappointed

Gifted, I was talking about how most somalis think.. the HG part was just an example.

Look no further than this site and how diferrent qabils argue their points to the point of nauseatum.

BUT,

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
