Z i do understan what you coming from in a way, but you have to remember the cause of the problem in the first place.
its wasnt women who decided to take USA's side over USSR.
it wasnt women who join the proxy war
it wasnt women who got somalia into debt, so much that now we are practically owned by the West!!
it wasnt women who handed our ports to galo,
its wasnt women who dragged fathers, sons, and innocent menout of their homes, so they could be killed, because SB said so.
it wasnt women who raped and killed anyone and everyone they got their hands on.
it wasnt women who burned houses, schools, mosques because the other qabiil owns it. or my favourite one, because the Faqash are coming to take whats theirs.
it wasnt women who still run around with guns and boms in our capital city.
it wasnt EVEN a women who decided all the women in muqdhiso should join the "holy" war and gave innocent girls, and mothers guns and parade them around in the city as peice of objects.(the whole world saw the infamouse pictures, and still im asked about 'em as if i was there )

so you see, women are truelly the victims, esp. in the situation in somalia!

so in hindsight and retrospectively speaking...you're saying women basically had absolutely no role in the conflict?...can you honestly say that factually?

i guess that would reduce us to simply adding more to the stock(ie giving birth to more men) of failure huh?

The only thing women were probably guilty for was moral support, I can imagine lots of somali women backing their husbands in their actions.

They were not the architects of the conflicts but when the sh!t hit the fan a lot of them aided and abetted their men. A lot of women were involved in raising money for rebel movements and still are to this day involved in funnelling money to buy weapons for their clan. They are victims and have the right to blame men for starting this but first they must cease the support including moral, financial and composing of war lyrics before they claim to be victims.

They definitely were a source of financial and moral support to these men, and are till today. If it wasn't for the women, there wouldn't be that much money to buy artillery to fight. So they did/do have a role.

I wonder how did the women that were married to men from clan other than their own cope with the messed?

I agree with you, women are partly to blame too. In war moral and physical support is vital, women hold alot of sway, and if they refused their husbands certain right, such as refusing to provide food and etc then everything might have played out different in Somalia.

it must've been hard for those women, i can't possibly imagine how devastating it would be if my brother was trying to kill my husband and vice versa because we're from different qabils..but the reality is that in Somalia we've seen people of the same qabil slaughter each other so it doesn't matter, no one was safe from the war.
