So the gov't ordered its ppl to attack any reer konfur folks they see and not rent out properties to them? How exact is this going to help the situation and why punish the refugees for something they had no control over. Ala daadka aqli xuuma. Are people really going to act on this?

We welcome the secessionist administration's policy of forcing out Hawiye people out of the Northwestern regions

Good development

I hope they do :D

as for the economy of the Northwestern regions, we all know it has been stagnant for a long time since it even failed to compete with the Northeastern regions. And no one can change that but the people of Northwestern regions themselves.

The current hawiye population in Northwestern regions were planning to settle their, build houses, live in peace while they would receive monthly paycheck from the diaspora. Ofcourse, this does not mean their capital is critical for the Northwestern regions, but as u know: every capital injected in a region is welcome development.

That would be a loss for their ancestral regions and a gain for the Northwestern regions. So its a wonderfull development if these people are forced out of the Northwestern regions, eventually they will head towards peacefull lands in Central and Southern regions.

A good development in our view.
Every clan going back to where they came from is not Somalia's solution.

Besides, people moved up there due to it being more peaceful and more advantageous to invest and be free of the violence and warlodism down South.

We still have Ethiopian shid heads down south, we still have a huge insurgency.... none of that is ending soon... what point is it to go back and just get killed over bull?

Ismahan, why even question it. These are Somalis, it shouldn't even come as a suprise. Ignorance and arrogance reigns supreme.

FAH,

Thats the way forward.

About Northwestern regions been more peaceful? Thats just a myth. Ceelbuur, Hobyo, Ceeldheere, Mareeg, Jowhar, Balcad, Warsheikh, Bulo Burto, Guriceel, Dhusomareeb, Merca, Barawe, Jilib all are peacefull lands.

The Hawiye men and women that went to Hargeisa are spoiled people. They are used to live in comfort in large cities that have been built by others. They are lazy parasites. Why not go to the small cities and towns in their ancestral lands and work to build them into large cities and towns?

PS: My own uncle went to Hargeisa from Mogadishu (Yaaqshid/Towqiif) and after staying there for a while decided to go back to Mogadishu (Yaaqshid/Towfiiq).....his reason: ''nothing is better then home'"!

Ismahan you have to understand the politics behind those moves. Riyaale and his henchman want to use fear and scarmongering to gain votes, just like Bush. They dont care about Somalilanders or southerners just their fat pockets and staying in office. The Somalilanders are as much a victim as those southern refugees.

Somaliwyen Sxb Somaliland will not rot if the southern refugees leave, but I really dont care about economics, which you seem to do but I care about the human beings. The suffering they have gone through in the hands of their own leaders and the peace they will leave behind. Those refugees are a clear example of Hawiye's failure as a group, that those people have to travel miles to gain a bit of freedom and peace, says alot about your leadership skills.
Typical Hawiye mentality the ends jusitfy the means. These people have to suffer in somaliland so they can go back to Hawiye regions and invest their.

SNM,

They are spoiled people, lazy parasites. They are not the true refugees, but those that have families in the West that send them monthly paycheck.

Let them go back to their ancestral lands.

The true victims of the Ethiopian occupation are those that are stuck in Benadir region: Ceelasha biyaha, Ceel Macaan, Afgoye corridor etc.

With that mentality I can see why they are running away from Hawiyes lands and Hawiye in general. Somaliwyen if they are parasite to you let them stay in Hargeisa and live comfortable, why do you want to see them suffer.?

We are running a massive propaganda scheme in Puntland. We heavily advertise Yemen as a paradise where everything is made out of gold, they believe it and after working months for nothing they will leave to Yemen finding out the truth.

  Jeebkada aye ka go'antahay markaas. Riyaale still gets paid. Cunsurinimada intaad iska daaftid, keep your business and home open to all people. I have family in Hargaysa and trust me, they are leaving as off tomorrow.

Somaliweyn,

I have to agree with you on this. Its better they leave and invest in their land. However, what waits them is the Ethiopians and the possibility of being killed. I think they should resettle in Southern Mudug and Galgaduud for the time being, atleast that will be home.

GeneralSNM,

Thats interesting. If that is the case, S/landers should really see their gov't for what it is and remove them.
