I encourage you to do Salatul-Istikharah, in this Salat you can ask Allah (swt) what I mentioned above.

I would take her advice though I don't know how to pray it myself.

It is quite simple. You pray the normal TWO rakah salah (Intentions are VERY VERY important in Salah, in everything you do in Islam), immediately after you have finished you salat, recite the dua for Salatul Istikharah. Which is:

“O Allah, I consult You as You are All-Knowing and I appeal to You to give me power as You are Omnipotent, I ask You for Your great favor, for You have power and I do not, and You know all of the hidden matters . O Allah ! If you know that this matter (then he should mention it) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and for my life in the Hereafter, (or he said: ‘for my present and future life,’) then make it (easy) for me. And if you know that this matter is not good for me in my religion, my livelihood and my life in the Hereafter, (or he said: ‘for my present and future life,’) then keep it away from me and take me away from it and choose what is good for me wherever it is and please me with it.”

**Since it is a dua, we can say it in any language, so it can be in English** But here is the arabic.

Istikhara (Arabic) means to ask Allah to guide one to the right thing concerning any affair in one’s life, especially when one has to choose between two permissible alternatives, e.g. a career choice, getting married, etc.

Say you are looking to get married to this lady and you do Salatul Istikharah that Allah (swt) makes it easier for you if it is good or if it not then he should remove you from it. What could happen afterwards is that the women might choose to marry some other dude instead of you, important thing is whatever the outcome you must believe this is your best interest in heart.

You know the saying, "Good things happen to those who wait," that is true to an extent because those with patience always tend to get a better thing than those who jump at whatever comes their way.

Masha'Allah I recommened Warsan Star Muslimah's advice...but sista ask Allaah to 4give u first insha'Allah bcoz if ur relationship was haraam then it werent right!!
Also make sure u ask Allaah to get u bck with him ONLY IF IT IS KHAYR 4 U!

I personally believe that if ur relatuonship was dodgy in the first place then its best not to look bck, UNLESS u both change and repent 4 wat u did insha'Allah!!

Also if he dnt wanna kno then HE DONT WANNA KNO, I kno its hard buh luv u hav to be strong and pray for Allaah to bless u with an even BETTER substitute Ameen!
