Unfortunately, I have to make it myself and I manage passably. I buy some roti or paratha from the indian bakery around the corner, put it in the food processor to grind it, I buy some ripe bananas, a bit of olive oil and mix it all up. Since I can't get fish like the deerag or bayaat from back home, I settle for some smoked salmon from the supermarket and as for the xulba, I have it in powder, also from the indian store, I add a bit of lemon juice and water and I am good to go. It's definitely not as good as the one your mom makes but I don't have much of a choice!

laxoox with muqmad (sometimes with sanuunad)
suqaar with a lot of basbaas and shigni
bariis with bananas and hilib adhi and baasto foorno
sabaayad and shaah

BV, I like beer too, maybe we are the same person.

I like killi, beer, sabayad, bariis, lasagne. I absolutely hate odkac, I don't know why somalis love it.

Gifted I was prepared to be called a sakhraan Lakin beer in this country su!cks I haven't had it in ages Odkac is just hard and oily and I hate the heyl in the meat..that's just wrong

Surbiyaan...with lots of basbaas..Shigni(the Somali kind) and ofcourse moos
