Horta, how can you compare what happened in the past few weeks to elections in Somaliland and Puntland?

There should be no comparison, one entity chose it's leader in a foreign hotel while the other 2 entities decide to do it in its own soil.eyes-only wrote:You guys crack me up.

the somalia elections were a farce and everyone knows it, the puntland elections were even a bigger farce everybody knows it. the somaliland elections are also a farce the only difference is that with this one these murqaan iidoors think they are actually taking part in true elections.Executive wrote:eyes-only wrote:You guys crack me up.

No offense intended to peace and exe, I know that word hits a raw nerve, but faqash is an ideology like fascism. Those who worked for the old regime and would like to carry on its legacy can be classed as faqash, it has nothing to do with your last employment or qabil. I hope this helps

Peace, continue your outburst in another topic where i'll gladly address you but this topic serves another purpose.

Re: OFFICIAL 2 WEEK ADVANCED NOTIFICATION TO THE ADMIN & CO
Ala, you're actually asking what's the difference?
Well, for one...the Somali peace process in Djibouti was not some regional election.
Secondly, it was not a qabiil thing despite the unfortunate events that lead to several qabiil threads being posted. Plus I personally don't want to know and don't care to know who is Cumar Maxamuud or Habar Jeclo or Faqashini. These elections are nothing new and not all that exciting.

The Somaliland elections are for the benefits of the people and are peaceful, it has flaws but so does the USA elections. What you have n the south is more closer to what happens in a circus and like a tight rope walker the president is always a step away from death. It represents the interest of the west first and ethoiopia second and finally the more powerful qabil and has no space for minorities, but n somaliland a lonely samroon can rise to the top.eyes-only wrote:Ala, you're actually asking what's the difference?
