somalia;s situation is not like the palestinian is another myth.

palestinians are divided into 2 camps. iran and syria supported hamas.

and the muslim sunni states supported plo who want a 2 state solution to their problem.

both sides have fought recently civil wars.

the iranians and syrians tell hamas there should be no peace with israel and gave them child missisles to attack israelis. the palestinians fighting with the israelis is in iran and syria's interests and not the palestinians. will hamas and plo fight a united front to establish their own state? or others get involved for their own interests? same dilemma in somalia.

obama is trying yo get to the bottom of the palestinian-israeli problems because he knows that is what fueling american hatred in the arab and islamic world. his team r suggesting 4 points.

1- israel should pull back to 1967 borders only in palestine (not in golan heights)
2-compenstion for the right to return palestinian refugees abroad and their descedants living in squalid places in the (brothers) arab countries and in refugee camps in palestine.
3-jerusalem to be home to both, east and west divided along jewish-palestinian lines.
4- demilitarised palestinian state.

it will fail because hamas's masters in iran and syria will never accept because it is not in their national interest. the suffering palestinians r used and abused by everyone.

Today, I went to this meeting about the Palestinian week coming up. And you know, Somalia really isn't that bad, once I thought about it.

I mean, sure we have the civil war, we have the starvation and loss of infrastructure all these years. But, we have the freedom over our affairs (minus the xabashi and their clients) but there is a lot more wiggle room to get out of our quagmire and fix the bullshid of the last 18-25 years since the clan militancy, warlodism, and what not emerged.

Now, paidmonk will come in and post a pic of plump Palestinian kids and starving Somali children, those kids have their lives dictated by a foreign army controlling their air and land and sea. They can't move anywhere and it is a prison....

Our children in Somalia with peace have the ability to be the leaders and they have a place to run free of any external occupation. I'm not downplaying the current humanitarian crisis, so don't get it twisted, I know its pretty bad.

I'm not trying to void the seriousness of both issues. But as Muslims we're supposed to care for justice anywhere, so just cause you skinnies might see another skinny wearing a falastini cimamaad doesn't mean that skinny doesn't care for his other skinnies.

ps:lets just put it this way: somalia has issue that they can sort it out if they want within days. but palistianas have long running battle with the jews.

iran and syria tell hamas to not reach any peace deal with israel and tell them to send kazam rockets to israel and when the israelis retaliate un-porportionally and destroy gaza and its citizens do they come to their aid and fight the israelis? NO.

every human i know including my lesbian neighbor sympathises with the palestinians. we all do. but sympathy and empty talk wont help the palestinians achieve independence and a state of their own. they need to unite and dismiss the influences of other neighbors who themselves cant fight israel and used them for their own national interest advantages.
