There is no denying some places were better of in the 1969-1990 era but I would choose anarchy over tyranny any day.
lets agree to disagree before we start writing essays.

^ Oh is thats so, well the Utopian government of 1969-1990 did a number on Somaliland which is why I am here, because you know living like kings involved destroying Somalia's second biggest city.

You have to be able to recognize the mistakes of your fellow kinsmen and judge them as well.. in order for others to believe you and more imp. for all not to repeat the same mistakes again..
Its very easy to blame someone.. and while he might have a lion share of that blame and mistake..then you must also have to give him credit when its due.
Compare Somalia as a whole pre 1988/90 and Somalia now..including any region.

I place no blame on him, I place the blame on the previous government but the people I blame the most are the elders who made the mistake uniting with no back up plan.

A man in Ohio was arrested for drunk driving a car he made out of lawnmower and bike remains.

My father who is well travelled and has been earning 6 figures for nearly a decade has chosen to retire there at the end of this year, mind you we have property in dubai, and australia and good income to retire on but he is heading straight to burco..
im building a house in hargiesa too, and in the end we all plan to head back home....
becuase we have a home..
a home that we grabbed from the dying hands of siyads criminal state.

Cirruz is my new name but it is saying I have to wait a while to post. Anyways Gurey you are above all the biggest liar in Somalinet. You have told everything from sleeping with a transexual in Thailand to going to a top college in England while vacationing in Holland at 11 years age and you are supposed to be in Nigeria for work, including the last two weeks you were supposedly in Somaliland. It is clear you are nothing but a refugee in Dubai, one of the tens of thousands there. I really have nothing against you but I think Somalinet is where you indulge your fantasies.
*EDIT*
And now your father is a 6 figure top dawg who has properties in Australia. Just another fantasy in that long list of yours.

lol voltage whats eating you bro, trust me i exaggerate somethings but i also downplay alot of the things i talk about on snet, a little exageration adds some spice t the post doesnt it, and im sure everyone is doing it too..
allow me to make some corrections.
1. i have never slept with a T, even though i love thailand and i visit the country often, if you have been to the country you will realise that they are not special, infact they are as numorous as flys and mosquitos, you will end up ignoring them and not even acknowledge thier existance..
but im sure from the facination i see in your writing, you will not be able to..
lol
2.Top college in england?? ive never said that, i was sent to england in my last year of highschool to finish my A-levels and maybe try to get sharci and university enterance later, but my australian visa came out so i left london, all in all i spent 7 months in england..in a regular college(community college equivalent for you americans).
3.nothing special about vacationing, allot of somalis living in the 80 and 90 in abudhabi went for vacations, most went to europe and beyond, becuase we couldnt go to somalia, we had a good life in emarat so saw no need for isdiibis..
4.now about my travelling? i commute between dubai and lagos for work,
this means that i am in dubai every month, and dubai is only about 4 hours by plane to somaliland, and several flights a week are available... you would know if youve been here.
5.and lastly whats so hard to believe about 6 figure income? infact allot of professionals in top managment jobs are underpaid compared to europe and the US.
an equivalant position in any corportation half the size of the one my father works for usually pays in the millions of dollars..
top management jobs in the gulf, even for the local arabs who are born with a silver spoon are payed a small fraction of what others get in the US and Europe, only japanese executives are as underpayed.
