I thought i'd be married by 23-24, but the older i get the higher that number gets. Plus i reckon women are too demanding in terms of the financial aspect of marriage.
I disagree. I think alot of woman forgot how to be women because they've become indepndent. They (uncontiously) strip men of their manhood so to speak with the "you cant tell me nothing" "i got my own" b.s.
Lets not forget that some men have become a bit lazy and tend to other things than being man of the house
At the end the day...women need men and men need women.

Independant women are the reason behind expensive weddings. The want a wedding they can afford, but paid for by the man. Spending 10k seems modest to most women, but i couldnt imagine blowing that in one nite, even though i'm doing ok.

Men and womens role in the household has merged, especially in the west, theres no distinction anymore.

Its not just the "indendent women" its the media, society, the family too.
I personally will not have a big wedding, small ceramony at my parents home would do, and go on a hella expensive three week honey moon (its worth it)
But if you were to look at our somali community for the mergin of the men/women household...who would you say contributes more into that? the men who abandon their wives and children? or the women who go on a power trip with 'rights'?

I have friends who are married and they say they love marriage and its the best thing that they have done, and some of these folks are young 22-26. So I don't think marriage complicates life all that much, its just an excuse some people use

I'm pretty sure being married and being in love is a wonderful thing, However truth of the matter is, 22-26 they're still in school to pursue a career, not only are they in school, most defly they've got to have a job to take care of all the bills, which means, school and work will conflict with one another, marriage does complicate life one way or another. So I believe the best time to get married is when you feel ready, don't let others pressure you based on your age, because at the end of the day it's your life, what you do today will have an effect on you tomorrow.
