I feel you saaxiib, but believe me when you come back you will stop complaining, you will apriaicate life more than ever.

when my family and I landed in Addis it was 2am and we saw a kid 7 or 8 years old standing on the corner of one intersection begin at 2am.

aga so true saxib when i left the internet cafe i went to dhabshil because i had a 88bir and i remembered these little orphans i saw earlier and i didn't have money at the time so went i went back they weren't there so i decided to give it to some oromo ladies and kids that were there as soon as i gave like 10bir to one they all sourrounded me and my heart stopped i panicked i was so shocked i just gave away everything i had to whoever some got 10's someone got 50 without thinking and still more kept coming and i didn't have any so i left them and these 2 kids followed me 4 or 5 years old and i didn't have anymore money i kept telling them i don't have anything but they wouldn't leave so i gave them some dubai coins i had and lol they looked one sec and threw it away and gave me some looks and they kept following me until i realized i had some dollars in my wallet so i gave them it when i got close to my hotel and they were so happy lol i was so amazed at how they knew the difference between the currencies and there worth i guess survival does that to people an kids i swear i will never forget that moment.

surrender abayoo africa is hell, the africans dont want to be here but if you do come prepare your heart the most and your nose second, you'll be up some nights, i just hope i don't become desensitzed like the people here to the missery and suffering of others cuz its still a shock for me to see the people on the streets while my cuzins just walk normally and continue the conversation like normal

the boy is 18, came to america when he was 2 of course he is American. "Motherland" is a subjective thing, you are your environment. So you who grew up in Africa might view Africa as your motherland but certainly not a person who did not. You might think so but it is what you realize when you get there and Perfect is realizing what I realized which is I am an American first.

Like my boy K'naan said "TIA" meaning this is Africa. You should have expected all t hese things and worse. The Jig-Jiga you are complaining about its looks is actually one of the better cities in the entire Somali populated regions including Somaliland, Puntland and South. You can't have the US mentality and go to Africa. Africa is a cursed continent with cursed people. Look how Allaah showered reserves of oil to our next door Arab neighbors and we have nothing.
