Why does Puntlander care so much about Somaliland politics? As far as I know Daahir rayaale is our President and chairman of the major Udub party which has many members from each somaliland clan. We support Udub, some support Kulmiye. It doesnt really make difference, they're all somalilanders and serving their nation. Now, as primitive Puntlander, I doubt you know what it's like to align yourself with a political party. Oh wait,you guys dont have multi party system. udub is corrupt no doubt but not any more than the Republican party was under Bush. Dont act like you have never seen a corrupt party dude. We all know how Bush corrupts the United states with his bad foreign and economic policies. The point is the parties exist and will stay when riyale leaves office or Silaanyo retires and faysal ali waraabe is replaced. They'll still be here and new faces will come to helm. THe foundation is set for us. But you guys dont even have such. You dont even have ballot boxes, just simple hand selection is the way puntland does its elections. in Somaliland things are more complex than simple parlamentry vote. That is why in puntland non majerten will never be President simply because they dominate the puntland parliament and they will always hand pick one of their own.
