Somali literature has nothing to do with Mudug its a northern thing, just go check all the gabays and count how many are from Mudug and then see how the singers all try on a northern accent.Captain24 wrote:What's so fcked up about Mudug accent? Re: Some fcked up reer banaadiri slangs
I grew up hearing reer xamar and it never sounded as bad as you're making it sound. I've never heard anyone saying "Xaar aan kaa dhuuqaa..." Seriously who in their mind would say that? Maybe a mental patient who doesn't know the first thing about xaar, but not anyone with a right head. Also, when did you ever see Mudug? 80% of people who post on this forum were born in Xamar and suddenly act like they're from their clans' regions. Beenta hala joojiyo.

Everybody knows the most coherent somali dialect is in Mudug. The first somali-english dictionary was written a mj guy in mudug. And the somali writing structure was also invented by a reer mudug marexan.
so... stop talking shit.

The first person who in my life sounded facked up was none other than an MJ walaahi. He wanted me to grab him a glass and he was saying eh get me this geed? Last i checked geed meant a tree. So calm down. Just as your slang sounds facked up to me and vice versa its true of all people from different regions.Captain24 wrote:What's so fcked up about Mudug accent? If thats the case how come you have never spoken a word of gabay, you and the marexaans? Why is it the northern Hartis Og and the Isaaq's in the north? Because gabay is the mother of somali literature, its like shakespeare to the english.Muhammad bin Harti wrote:Everybody knows the most coherent somali dialect is in Mudug. People are confusing the standard written/spoken Somali with Mudug accent. Do you even know the difference? We were taught standard Somali in school and it doesn't sound nothing like no Mudug accent. All you gotta do is read a Somali science book and you'll see what I'm talking about. Watch as this thread turns in to "My clan speaks better Somali than yours..."

General, there is a difference between an oral poetry and authentic Somali Language. It's true that the majority singers are from Woqqoyi and Madhibaan, but there is nothing authentic about that language. The Isaaq language is all curse lol
King of Awdal, I think it was matter of you not understanding proper Somali than not understanding the Mj guy

People need to learn that each region has a different accent just like someone can tell apart someone from New York and Boston though they are only less than 3 hours away from each other. Still its english. Same here be it your from Djibouti or Kismaayo ur still speaking Zoomali.Kolombo wrote:People are confusing the standard written/spoken Somali with Mudug accent. KOA,
Walahi some people are hopeless. Seriously who gives a fuck about which clan or region has "better" Somali? There's no clear answer to that question. Each region has a distinctively different dialect and in my opinion that's what makes Somalia so wonderful. I like hearing reer xamar, maay, mudug, reer waqooyi, xaayoow, galbeed, etc. Its all good in my book. Diversity is why America is so great, imagine if people in Atlanta spoke with a New England accent?
