Indeed what Surrender has stated is the truth reading and believing in such thing is committing shirk( associating partners with allah) May allah protect us from that and as Muslims we should put our trust in Allah who is our creator the lord of Mankind and all that exists. Indeed tawheed (singling out allah alone in all worship, lordship and names and attributes) and pure islamic Monetheism is what makes us different from any other religion unlike the christains who go through Jesus to get to God audubiallah and etc

Narrated 'Aisha:
Some people asked the Prophet regarding the soothsayers. He said, "They are nothing." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Some of their talks come true." The Prophet said, "That word which happens to be true is what a Jinn snatches away by stealth (from the Heaven) and pours it in the ears of his friend (the fortune teller) with a sound like the cackling of a hen. The soothsayers then mix with that word, one hundred lies."


From some of the wives of the prophets sallahu alayhi wasalam that the prophet sallahu alayhi wasalam said: " Whoever approaches a fortune teller, then asks him about something his prayer is not accepted for forty nights" ( Reported in Muslim)

Inshallah lets be careful about this because we do not want to assocaite partners alongside al-Rahman and non of us can forward our prayers not being accepted for 40 nights because we do not know if we are going to live to even see the end of those forty nights and Allah Knows best.
