I get nearly £3000 in a form of a grant from the governement.
I recieved a bursary for £4000 for getting my expected grades ...then I got a further £2000 from the university, for no real reason

Plus tuition fees are only £3000....So i get £6000 to spend on whatever!

Do you think that's a lot ? The only real cost in going to university, is living on campus.

No it was a bursary...my uni increased it for people who achieved 3 A's at A level. So if you were entitled to the government grant, you were automatically entitled to £1,050 bursary but if you achieved those grades it went up to £4000.

Poor kids...3000 Pounds...That's close to over $5000 here. In my days, we paid $2500 for a full year of an undergrad. program and we thought we were getting the shaft

Unless your parents are very wealthy and they don't want to pay for you, there are many other ways you can go to a university if you are willing..Without paying almost anything:

1. Scholarship is one way to go..
2. Financial Aid is another way to go.

There are many Somali kids who go to Ivy League schools and who don't pay almost nothing... We are talking about $50K and above...All you have to do is be good at school and have great grades and great recommendation letter from your councilor
