Yeah, thats very possible. Maraykan ciyaar maaha when it comes to health insurance. ppl die because they cannot afford certain operations.

But from the sound of it, it looks like your friend had a simple angioplasty, a minor procedure.. compared to open heart surgery
..whereas the other guy in the US may have gotten a coronary by-pass.. which is more complicated and is an open heart surgery..hence the cost.

Mayee saaxib, I think my buddy went thorugh something a little more invasive...Maybe it wasn't an angioplasty but he was telling me inay farafareeyen, wey jeexeen his chest cavity, they stopped his heart for some time and he was hooked up to this machine that was pumping his blood, in the meantime, they harvested a vein from his foot or thigh or something and transplanted it into his heart, so that the bood could be re-routed through it...No wonder these insurance companies were fighting tooth and nail to prevent health care reform in U.S...The damn thing is big business!

Okay, Cawar. About the barber, ha la yaabin. I meet people who have not left the neighborhood they were born and have no clue or interest anything outside th e quadrant they live in!.

Skippa, have you see Sicko? Americans go to India , Latin America etc to get surgeries done. There was a tv program that showed how a Hospital in LA was dumping homeless patients at skid row and another that discharged somebody who was too sick and eventually died a the gate. There was even case of people dying in the waiting room of hospitals maybe because they are not give priority due to lack of health insurance.

AbdiWahaab, seems to be obsessed with being in the "in/hip/khatar/belaayo" crew category. The other day he was on Kolombo's case telling him to keep up his game and now telling Cawar - his is slipping  AbdiWahaab nothing worng with ageing gracefully and letting slip somethings and step down the game eh!
