Charter school's are nice, my brothers, uncles all graduated from SD charter schools where they focused on real stuff like Math and Science etc. btw congrads to those kids, I was watching a video a while ago and this cadaan dude was talking about how young somalis in minnisota have the highest goals in terms of careers than any other group. With all that shid happening in that state, pretty impressive eh?

That wasn't a charter school guys, That was Washburn High School, I think it has overtaken Roosevelt High School for Most graduate Somalis. There is also an International Youth School funded by the State(They teach Arabic, Somali Language and prepare kids till high school). There is also Dugsi Academy, also funded by the State, where they teach the Qura'an and Islamic Fiq. I have seen a lot of whites crying on craigslist as to why Minnesota funding all these Islamic schools, only for them to come back and "bomb" us

Yeah we have two academies like that in Seattle. Function as Islamic oriented, State-backed private schools until high school but we don't have any charter schools yet.

Personally I am against ethnic oriented schools like that because it doesn't prepare kid with the "tools" necessary for a multi cultural society.

Yeah, agreed. But the charter schools is Minnesota is only for new arrivals who don't understand the English language. Most of them get away after year or two. It's another way for Minneosta Somalis to milk money out of the state
