(lol you feel better now?) look!! this isnt about whether you have met bad/good hijaabis. is about you and how you, as muslim women are safer and more respected if you wear the hijaab. it is afterall the rules of alaah that a god fearing women/girl should cover hersef!

I respect those who wear a hijab out of choice but it is just that. A choice. I choose not to wear a hijab and i do not think it makes me any less good.

This is the west.
If a rapist wants you.
A cloth on your head will not make a difference, a weapon in your hand will but a hijab will not. That is the reality.
Muslim women are not immune to rape you know, someone covering her whole body and someone wearing little have equal probability of getting raped as it is about power and domination not looks.

Yes, a place where Sex sells! Goodness they’ve got half naked women advertising a burger and you're telling me someone covering her whole body and someone wearing little have equal probability of getting raped or what not?

Abaayo, it's one thing to not wear a Hijaab but please for the sake of humanity do not try and justify yourself by contradictory comments like the above.

i think you missing the whole point. yaa kaa dhaadhiciyey hijaabis are immune to violence? waxaas waa been. Take a look at Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine. all are Muslim dominant countries, were most of their female wear the hijaab, forced or not and still going through problems everyday, even as we sit now, there are dying little muslimah in these countries. They’ve never committed a crime, harm anyone or even an adult. yet their houses have been destroyed, their parents probably killed, and have not a drop of water to drink. so no, hijaabis are not immune to problems, violence and war. But you have to remember it doesn’t matter what happens to you during your lifetime, but you should always wear the hijab, die wearing it. It doesn’t matter what the next halimo is doing with her hijaab that her mother forced her to wear. Adi laguma waydiinayo, taada uun ka’adkow. And if some snetters think allah forgives non hijaabis because there are so many bad hijaabis these days. Walee some of us are of a rude awakening lol.

Rape is sex yes.
But is is more than just sex, it is about dominating the opposite gender. Forcing someone else to do something gives the perpetrator the feeling of power and control that is perhaps lacking in his own personal life which may be why they seek it by hurting others. Sexual abuse takes away the victim's power and control.

If we look at the criminals who do commit the act, it is not what the person wears which is the determining factor of whether he rapes her or not. It is many external factors.
If a Muslim women walks down a alley at night, it will not protect her. If someone half naked walks down that same alley with the same rapist. It will not protect her either.

I do not need to justify anything because i do not believe i am doing anything wrong.
What i am doing is trying to explain logically how a hijab does not make a difference when it comes to matters of rape. I do not need to lie or justify to make that point. It is clear to anyone. A hijab will not prevent a rapist who is intent of forcing himself upon the opposite gender. A weapon will.

Perhaps i am missing the point and i apologise if i am but i do not understand the thinking behind a hijab somehow warding off criminals.
