Lets deal with reality first then we may consider getting our acts together. We choose to be IGNORANT, LIVE to be ignorant. Subxanallah people are hungry and seek enlightment and change for the better when faced with hardships. But not us. We want division, we want qabil hatred, infact its encouraged and comes before Islam on occasions, Somalia and just simple adherence to moral and ethical principles of humanity.

Instead of throwing parties, putting an exhibition on nonexistant nationalism, perhaps, its worthy of us to consider discussing issues and finding real solutions. Shouting "SOmalia Ha Noolatoo" while jamming to a Samatar party aint gonna fix our issues. If we are serious about what this day represents, then we oughta take serious initiatives.
but blogging on the internet about the current state of somalia isnt doing anything for the cause.

Ismahaan you are right indeed, we are being selfish here. Soomaalida waxey ku maahmaahdaa "nin dhintey kabahiisaa ka fiican" maybe this is what a lot of good hearted Somalis like you who could help Somalia, have in mind(looking at Somalia like a dead body) and therefore parting or moving on with their life.

I'm not sure what you guys celebrating for...Last i checked Somalia (as a Country didn't exist and was not independent). I stopped participating this types of events after 2004. What's with all this PR for one day and next thing you know same people that were crying for Somali Unity are bashing other qabils. I'm waiting the day all the resources and energy invested to this day could be allocated to changing the real root causes of our problems. I'm waiting my July 4th independence day, that has great meaning for me now.

I am so over Somalis and their state of delusion. I think we should all be diagnosed with atleast a mild case of Bi-polar disorder.
