Same with my relatives in Somalia which is why they support Al Shabaab because of the peace and kala danbeyn they brought to the regions they control. By the way my abti just returned from Nazret and he said there is a large Somali community there and they are tight knit. Any Somali that arrives there is registered right away and assisted with anything they need. While Nazret is not in Ogadenia, most Somalis are happy with the way things in these regions.

Voltage,

Atheer you said these:

1. ONLF exists only in the diaspora.
2. Ogaden Somali poeple are happy with Melez Zenawi.
3. Melez has given many powers & special privileges to Ogaden somalis.
4. Melez wants to make an alliance between Tigre, Oromo & Ogaden Somais.
5. 90% of the Ethiopian soldiers in Ogadenia are Somalis.
6. ONLF just roam around the jungle & cannot come near the country.
7. Then you have asked my in puts?

Atheer you have all the right to believe what your brother or anyone else so far have fed you but as long as I am concerned this rants of yours are false & make no sense.

Firstly, I assume you forget the severity and gravity of the conflict between the Ogaden people & Ethiopia. Forexample, saying the Ogaden poeple are happy with Melez is like saying they forgot the quest they had shed so much blood for and suffered so much. How can you be happy with someone who is violating your basic human rights and is systematically exterminating you? As I said it does not make sense, awoowe.

Secondly, saying 90% those arms in Ogadenia are Somalis by blood is strong claim and for strong claims strong evidences is needed. Till you bring some thing that we can agree up on, evidences, it will remain as a baseless claim.

As for the ONLF, You & I know that they have achieved to hold the fort and perpetuated the desire of the Somali's in that region for self-determination. They are the strongest rebel group in Ethiopia, more than the Oromos, more than the Axmaara's who outnumber them. They have fought gallantly in several fronts so that our culture and religion is not encroached upon. It is because of them that the people of Qoraxeey, Dhagaxbuur and Fiq etc still call themselves Somali's. It is why the resettlement plan for 100,000 highlanders around the Wabi-shabelle is aborted.

Lastly, Athero Voltage, this is a struggle and the planning horizon is much more than you and your ilk can ever think of. Whether they control a village or not is a big issue. It is the case that they are fighting for liberation, and that will come. If not in 1 year, in 10 years, if not in 10 years, in 100 years. That is what matter. But as a typical Somali, who would go into the bush thinking he will storm the capital city after a month and when that doesn't happen, ask hanging down his gun and ask for mercy, I expect you to think victory in purely territorial gain terms. If it pleases you, except the major towns, the rural areas are in the hand of ONLF!

At the present they are holding almost all, even including parts of Shiniile zone. They have moved forward, reaching till Hawash & Mayso. That is what the inside sources have been reporting but better you ask our brother Hanqadh, as he is more informed than us.

Also, you can read the latest article that he posted in the Ogaden section, only if you are interested.

When they are done with the Ethiopian occupiers that many of you worship, expect them around Hargeysa. They will be chasing the reminants of Ethios & all the Idooor stooges who have been working with the invaders. In other word, the whole region of the horn of Africa will be under these lil brave souls. No more Somali Women will cry. You will feel no more injustice by the time they start rulling that part of the world.

Now the fact that I have attampted your silly q, don't try to make a silly come back.

Move on!

it's irrelevant what the people of ogaden/western somalia have to say when allah swt has already spoken. the land - ogaden - doesn't belong to the people who happen to live there - it belongs to islam; and whosoever happens to live on the lands of islam, then he/her must live by its laws and meet all its demands.

Voltage,

I already have said you have every right to believe what you have been fed, and I have no problem with that.

Just don't forget the claims like 90% of the black colonial army in that region are Somalis by bood is a baseless and uncalled for as most of what you said were.

Peace, awoowe.
