i don't get why we build our mosques like palaces with doom, towers, fancy glass works and whatnot...

why can't we just keep it simple, clean, spacious and humble?!

cause a masjid is also a community center and the muslim community grows by the day

one local masjid in my area (exclusively Pakis and some west afrikan) are going into a $2.5 million expansion themselves but they are gonna have gyms

Same thing happened in Portland Maine. They have been collecting money for ages to build a mosque and even Ugandese muslim businessman gave $100,000 at one time but they still have nothing and they have been renting out the same old building. There is a lot of munaafiqiin involved in these kinds of projects, that is why they never get off the ground because of musuqmaasiqnimo ka jirta meesha.

And oh congratulations to reer Columbus. They seem to be doing alright for themselves. For a city with that many Somalis, I was surprised to see so few ciyaal suuqiin there.
