I actually like high heels, there are some outfits that i just would not wear without heels. I used to complain about them back in the day, just like you ire, but the more you wear them, the more familiar you become with them and you can quickly figure out the time limit on each shoe. I am today wearing the 2 inch- wear-all-day-without-busting-a-sweat shoes
