Also that map is wrong. Al Shabaab has since taken over Jowhar, all of Middle Shabelle, and most of Hiiraan up to the countryside of Beled-Weyne.

Galmudug does not exist anymore and Al Shabaab does not control Ceelbuur, and Hisbul Islam is not control Lower Jubba, Al Shabaab is. Hisbul Islam controls only the northern half of Gedo in the Jubba Valley and areas around Dhoobleey.

Al Shabab are only in Maxas and and part of Bulo Barte. The rest is in ICU hands

ICU doesn't exist. It was an umbrella for all Shiekhs whose military wing was Al Shabaab. It fractured long ago sxb. The last major military support of Shiekh Sharif in the region defected to Hisbul Islam when the speaker of the parliament asked for "neighboring state interference within 24 hours".

UIC continued to exist in Hiiraan man. It broke up along clan lines, with Xawadle remaining pro-government and securing their areas. Right now these militias control Baletweyne, and the rest of the state except maxas and a small portion of buulo barte.

I disagree, there is no such thing as disputed area it shouldn't be recognised as disputed, the claimants are not even present in those areas.....the person that made the map is undermining the local administration, population and the local forces that have a presence.

If Puntland and another group claim kismayo does kismayo become a disputed area??

Disputed regions = independent regions, the whole map is a flaw cause there are a lot of independent regions in Somalia. All the entites and administations are not that strong and they haven't got wide presence, they are very centralized and strong in a few towns. Does Puntland control Eyl where the pirates are strong? likewise they and somaliland don't control the regions they claim in Sool, sanaag and buuhoodle.

Somaliland times is the SLand version of the Puntland Post, they write not so much journalism as propaganda pieces...
