The reason why MJs get recruited heavily is because Minneapolis is the most conservative Somali town in the US. Whereas Virginians and Seattlites and San Diegans have a more laid-back liberal attitude, mpls Somalis are workaholics and most kids don't have 2 parents, so they're pretty much raised by the masjids. MJs in minneapolis are equivalent to isaaq in london, they're ciyaal suuq orphans raised on the streets, but now they have these mosques to go to.
MJs also run the mosques here, they just recently bought out the city's main masjid for no reason other than to brag, i guess this is karma. Biggest factor is that minnesota is like 50% mj, and probably 80% especially inside the city of minneapolis. the other clans in minnesota live in the smaller towns or suburbs. for example abgaals dominate this town called rochester, and other clans dominate rural areas and suburbs like that.
Anyway that's the scenario. its like asking why all the taliban are pashtun, its all about location.
