It's unfortunate that several months after the summit, 10 peaceful scholars who posed no threat whatsoever to the regime were executed. That execution canceled everything (past & future) positive done by that regime.Warsame101 wrote:This is a rare piece of historical footage when majority of African Heads visited the Somali capital to attend the The Organisation of African Unity (AOU) Summit. Somalia, at that time, was hosting the meeting since Jaalle Siyaad (RH) was the then chairman.
Enjoy for those who have never seen it (including me)

Insha'allah Somalia can have some sort of functioning government so that the innocent people who have to flee their homes can live without fear.

What if there's no more hope for your country? I really thought Sheikh Sharif would make a difference, but I guess some people back there just don't want Somalia to be peaceful.Cumar-Labasuul wrote:I agree with you except that bit that I edited for you - however you don't ever lose hope in your country.CoolPoisons wrote:Aniga waxaan qabaa, the last time we ever saw united Somalia from Borame to Ras Kamboni was till 1988. Cool Poison you misunderstood him. When he said "your country" it isn't he was taking himself out, he was just saying generally people shouldn't lose hop in their country. The only thing he changed was the date which he moved back to 1988, when the Northern exodus started.
