Abdi-Halim wrote:Emperior you means tribes holding hands and marching as 1? kind of like the million man march to washington? lol!!! i don't think that has ever occured unless under the guise of religion. For example Ahmed gurey had many tribes under his wing. Like many darods and habar yonis. But it was under the banner of islam and not neccessarily any emphasis on qabil harmony!!! Shabab is mimicking the same thing, like godane being the head of kismayo branch of shabab. However it is not hold hand session of tribal unity, but islamic unity!!!

The only time i see unity in somalis is when it was islam. Even when it was islam, not all tribes were united, i have never seen 100% all somalis united under any cause for that matter, be it islam or democracy or any system!!!

Like the sayyid for example, many tribes were against him, some where tribes were with him. Shabab same story. Somalis were never a nation sxb, they view their tribe as a nation from the days of history. They only make alliances with close knit families based on interest not really based on any love. It is just not apart of the culture!!! Alot of ppl think islam can unite somalis, but i doubt so. If great men like sayyid couldn't, how will some rag-tag shabab crew do it? That is why i support federalism because it gives us both unity and at the same autonomous states like our tribes have always been. It really is good system.

Good point there

But axmed guray fals not in the category there are evidence he was not even a Somali, as some people say but his halgan was not really based on somalinimo Because there where canfarr uraage etc Fighting the northern chiefs we can not really call it a Somali halgan struggle
But martin luther king gandi men like that waligood Somali kama dhalan
The mad mullah was clannish Just read back his poems he doesn’t fit the category , axmed gurray ba uga soo dhawanaya Markaas. As for alshabaab Axmed cabdi godane is the head of the entire alshabaab movement not just the branch of kismayo. In kismayo The governer is Maxammad abubakr al seylici , that’s another man from Somaliland.

Godane is the head of all shabab, so where does hassan turki fit in all of it then? I don't think shabab has 1 leader, but many leaders!!!

The legendary Sayyid is above Luther King, Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan was Somali version of Sallahuddin Ayubi , the man that defended muslim lands from european invasion who captured Jerusalem in 1187 after 88 yrs of Crusade occupation.

The world has hardly witnessed a more chivalrous and humane conquerors. Both are revolutionary figures and the world's greatest warriors, both were very courageous and rose to the occasion in battle and never showed any anxiety about the numbers and strength of the enemy. Both faced intense internal threats, several assasination attempts but continued to fight until the last drop of blood. Salahuddin Ayubi and Sayyid Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan demonstrated determination, both were intensely thoughtful, persistent, fearless, and tireless in thinking. Anyone that read the history of these two men without any preconceived bias would be inspired and realise both men were ahead of their time, truely an exceptional men, despite the unjustified criticism ,fabricated lies to support a fallacious argument and pathetic attempt to distroy they reputation, both Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan and Sallahuddin Ayubi still remain the most amazing men in history.

No, Somalis only have leaders like that in their clan for their clan interest in their clan lands.

You won't see a transcendent figure like an MLK telling all Somalis to hold hands and create a state. Its fun to dream about though.

Hell to the M f No. MLK was a man of honor and preached non-violent, a trait that the current Somali leaders lack.
