Al-shabaab have been itching for this for over a year. Soon after Hiiraale was ousted by Sh. Shukri & Madoobe's men who were Maxaakiimta back then, Al-shabaab moved in to town and set up camp at the airport and seaport, then started to collect taxes. They do the same shit to Daahir Aweys in Xamar, in Lafoole, they did to Macow in Beledweyne. They rarely fight, but always steal the spotlight from everyone. They made it clear they are ready to fight.

Zeylici fled to Jamaame 2 days ago and ordered his men to secure the perimeter surrounding Kismaayo and to fire on Turki & Madoobe's men as they were entering the city, but the Alshabaab youngsters refused, then Zeylici came rushing in to town, denying he ever left and is now trying to do damage control.
