Heavly guarded by Minneapolis Police and FBI, Sharif has a lot of potential so far. He needs to get the support.

Anyways I think most people went there to support the "institution" of Somali presidency and not the maqaarsaar Shiekh Hotel. Somalis in the diaspora are really just gullible. On the one hand it is they who have fanned the flames of the civil war by propping up and financially supporting the warlords who wreaked havoc and it is they who cry and sniffle every time some representation of the legitimate national instutituions visit them (while they are preventing that institution from becoming rooted).
Any wonder Somalis are by nature surface people, they are the most surface people on earth. Absolutely zero depth and character to them.

He is a shameless man without morals and the fact that he has the audacity to come and ask for more of my tax money so it can go into his pockets and that of his entourage is just disgusting.

lol I dont remember supporting any extremists. I see none worthy of support in the mess that is Somalia.HutuKing01 wrote:Ismahan123 wrote:Its difficult supporting the "institution" of Somali presidency when its being represented by men like Sh.Shariif and his cabinet full of recycled warlords. since when did u join the extremists? wtf happened
I don't disagree even though I don't agree. Shiekh Sharif's personal qualifications or what he himself represents in beside the point. If you noticed I think he is a farce, something the Somali people "isku maaweeliyaan" without addressing the real problems so you can see even I do not have a favorable opinion of him personally. I mean in general, why are our people so surface? Why do we welcome with such pomp the representation of our national institutions yet never give true loyalty and support to those institutions. We are just as quick to descend into virtriolic diatribe and tribal hatred...ironically enough which is what fans the civil war....as we are to cry about the "Somalia of yesterday". It is like saying I miss the tasty chocolate cake but I will prevent myself from making another one? A reformed man who calls for open reform. I was young, still young now, but I reached a point where I couldn't reconcile the excess baggage of Somali culture with my level of education and/or state of mind.AbdiWahab252 wrote:Voltage wrote:Kinetic, I prefer surface. Yes I Voltage, foremost nationalist, and former Marehanist, once ignorant participant to clan group-think am an avowed and announced critic of my society, my people and the negative and adverse sections of their culture, civilization (or lack of--whatever floats your boat), conduct, and recent socio-political history and all it has manifested itself in. I am a critic and I criticize the ignorant group think, the clan adverse effects, the camel shagging illiterate and ignorant culture, the la yiqra/la yaktub state of conduct. I am a critic of it all and I am criticizing it now---understand full well my criticism against Somaliland members of this forum now is not unique but part and parcel of the collective criticism I hurl at that that camel shagging race I hail from be they reside in Djibouti to the coast of the Mombasa and as far as the rift and those frontier borders of Ethiopia to those sand dunes bordering the Indian Ocean. I criticize it all because I have seen what our culture is and what our people are . I was a member of that not shortly ago, I was a participant, a signatory to the perverse and illigetimate and backward culture of which my people bask in, in luxury and contentedness. I don't apologize for that and if I say the Kenyan Bantu is a civilized, enlightened, and professional man in all respects and areas worthy of judgment, something that camel shagging bushman of Somalia has yet to sample even for the briefest moment which mayhap will entice him to fight the curse that plagues---if I give voice that I don't apologize my friend and I am not apologizing for it now. The Somali has yet to be civilized and that is the cardinal truth sworn on the name of my dear lord ALLAH (SWT)
