Its just on this forum I see that Hawiye are constantly referred to as Hutu, I'm a little baffled.

Hawiye are called Hutu, because supposedly their crimes during the '91 civil war were as barbaric as the Hutu genocide against the Tutsis. In this example, Daarood are the Tutsis and the savage Hutus are the Hawiye.

Victimization is a sign of weakness. Daarood has no reason to victimize themselves. They were just as guilty of many horrific crimes during the civil war. Some of which I personally witnessed in Marka & in Kismaayo. Crimes against gibil cad and even Sheikhaal. Everyone has a share in the blame.

I see, thank you. Makes sense if your from xamar and aren't hawiye, but not completely.
