I remember TL proposing that a political forum should be created and posters allowed in on a selective basis. A place where actual solutions to the problems that affect our country today could be given without useless inputs.

There's nothing wrong with a 'general' section, but there's will be a problem if there is no available platform for more advanced discussion. What will happen is, it will spill over into the more elementary forum and posters without the ability to comprehend such topics will throw in their opinions, thinking it means something.

We've already seen it happen with Islam.
