The free version of AVG, check their website, they have a free edition which you can upgrade to one you have to buy at a discount. They are good. I use that and Spyware, it works better. Also, it is important to disconnet your computer from the net when you are not using it. Leave the PC on if you want, but disconnect the access to avoid cyber attacks and hijacking.

How can you make a quick check to ensure the internet cafe machine is secure of malware before your email password gets hacked ?
Why do u even need a internet cafe bro.. Ur gona have to scan it man. Whichever security app on the system would probably not tell u anything so u'll need ur own. I'd suggest portable security software that u can run from a flashcard. Actually portable apps come with a couple of programs that can be useful. go to http://portableapps.com/ and download/install that in a flashcard. Then just stick ur flashcard in the system run the portable apps, and run ur scan.
portable apps is very useful bro, u can run them on any system and use apps that the system doesn't have. like msn in the workplace or firefox, or even utorrent at work  ... so u can put the work bandwidth to actually work for u lool.

Gatspy,

I will be in remote regions and sparse access to the web. I am prepping for isolation and inshallah will survive.

Gatspy, I am looking at the portable application you linked for Abdiwahab. I don't see Anti-Spyware software in the list. I have question, if you download these portable apps on a flashcard, and later you stick that into a pc you want to use, does that mean you can use your portable apps instead of the locally installed apps on the PC you are using? I miss the point.

I actually found a way to by-pass without wasting my time and their forms. Just clicked on the direct link they tell you to go if the download doesn't work. it is downloading, so I will see how that works.

i c.. well portable apps is the way to then. And u can always add more applications into it. Just put in ur flashcard and use ur own browser, firefox or chrome. Ur own office tools. Everything runs off ur flashcard.

Kinetic u r correct, u use ur own application instead of what the system has. ClamWin is the antivirus app it comes with but u can add more to it. There r many portable antispywares that u can download and just add into ur portable apps folder in ur flashcard and it will run when u start ur portable apps.

whats asking for ur info?

Gatspy, you are right, CLAMWIN is the Antivirus. Cool, I am at 66% download onto my USB flashdrive. I was also using Explorer. I just ignored the form and went straight to the link they tell you to click if you have download issues and it worked. Thanks bro. Good community service.

So, all of your essential apps will run off your flashcard ?

Gatspy,

Many thanks bro. I will need to make some E-Bill payments and don't trust these internet cafes.
