is it not inconvenient and somewhat ignorant to make duca whiles celebrating a non-islamic ceremony, whether you believe in it or not, you are creating an unfortunate condition where you protray Islam to be in parallel with what ever rituals this celebration entails.

as an comparison: saying bismilah before drinking alcohol(Xaram substance).... its Wrong, but is that not basically what you are doing ? or did my analogy not make any sense
