That’s the most ridiculous thing I ever heard please say you’re joking
How the hell do you expect a war torn country 100s of people displaced, no form of government what’s so ever, to be self sustainable, they are depended till Somalia is on its own 2 feet this is not the time to test your people if they cant survive or not, unless your with the terrorist and you want the Somali people to be removed from Somalia, so that afghans and Pakistanis and other Arabs take over

You're wrong sxb. Listen to that VOA report about Bay and Bakool farmers couple weeks ago. They are finally growing and starting to rely on themselves.

Don't blame the south just because Somaliland is 100% dependent on U.N handouts.

Six of its offices - in Wajid, Buale, Garbahare, Afmadow, Jilib and Belet Weyne - have been shut temporarily, which the agency said would affect more than a third of the people it feeds in Somalia, most of whom are women and children.
al-Shabaab are going to have a lot more blood on their hands. In the last abaar I remember hearing about people starving to death in Garbahaaray and that was while the WTP were still there, I dread to think how much lives will be lost in the next.

Don’t get me wrong I have no problem with them growing their own food that’s good, but the country is not safe, their farms can be taken by another faction group, as we speak. Let’s say alshabaab or xisbal xasuuq takes their farms. How do you expect the local population to get food , UN can help till Somalia get its shit together. Unless you want them to starve to death

The World Food Program says up to 95 of those areas are controlled by the al-Shabab Islamist group. The U.S. State Department says the group has links to al-Qaeda.

Yanno?? Im ASTONISHED at the response of these fockers in this forum, typing away at their keyboards with fat stomachs. It's attitudes like THAT, that are the reason Somalia is focked up! WORD!!! Ive NEVER seen ANYone who LOOOOOOOOOOVE to cut off their noses to spite their face more than Somalis'. Fuckin basket case.

Nomad

Are you naively trying to insinuate Eritrea receives ZERO foreign aid? Facts to back that assertion, I presume.

Waryaa, tell me about Gebliey o.k? Not southern Somalia. A man can go from Beled-Xaawo on the Kenyan border to the port of Mogadishu without seeing a single check point or any trouble now. If you thought your little Somaliland was peaceful, you don't know how south Somalia is now. The only thing AL Shabaab should be praised for is the never before seen peace and security in the land.

Mickey,

These fools delude themselves into believing that the farmers can grow enough crops to feed everyone in the midst of conflict, poor rains, have the equipment and funds to grow excess crops.

AW

And coming from KIDS (and I emphasize KIDS) who've never lived there, it's quite rich. I admire their positivity, but Somalia is in NOOO condition to feed itself right now. especially with these Terrorists terrorizing the population into obedianc stealing all the food from children and war widows. Al-Shaydaani indeed.
