Every Somali should support the TFG regardless of their clan affiliation. Al Shabaab imbeciles will take Somalia back to stone age and make Peshawar, the new capital of Somalia. Total eradication of those fools is in order.

The government just needs a strong western partner to bomb the shit out of alshabaab. To end this insurgency

You really think the western will do that?
Only if a shabaabmadman commits suicideattack in the usa or uk,then they will take action.Aslong that does not happen, they see this as somali problem.
They and the arabs are not sincere in their promises.

the westerners bombed the mujahedeen..back in 2006 while using xabashi slaves attacking them from the ground..but they still survived and have achieved victory up on victory..they put all their trust in allah.while you put all your trust on gaalo..thats why your likes will forever remain failure..

Abdi,

So I take it Shabaab may have done us a service in the long run if more people genuinely started thinking like that. I am an eternal optimist, InshaAllah we will have a democratic Islamic government as a result of this factional/ideological war.

May, its not impossible, the only reason they would fail is if they only created one as a reaction to the West (rather than a solution to failing current system) and if they willfully/misguidedly tortured their civilians with a sick Arabised version of the religious laws.

GedoGurl,

Culema should not be governing at all beyond the Ministry of Religion. When religion is mixed in with ambitions of men, you create a disaster of the worst type as evidenced in today's Somalia.

I meant a 'democratic Islamic government' is a contradiction in terms.

There are many different types of Democracy. An Islamic democracy can be attained through many avenues e.g. not giving all the power to the culemaa, but rather having them as a part of a wider judiciary.

Abdi, I disagree, many laws were created through religion and I think they serve us well. Islam is a system of laws on how we should live our lives, if we were allowed to have some input as to how we implement them and they are each scrutinised and vetted before we put them down as law, it would succeed, its the gung ho attitude that ruins the process . Yes, I agree that it is a deadly combination, beyond the Al Shabaab problem, why cant we have Islamic laws as part of our constitution?

"I don't care"

...about this lame government, because just like the one before it and the one before that, they are all based on a SYSTEM which disqualifies them from even being considered as governments, in terms of our Somali standards, which looking at the Kacaan seems PRETTY high.

now i do not study political science  but in simple terms i am sure governments mainly consist of 1. policy makers 2. policy implementers

now forget number two, because this so called government based on a destructive SYSTEM has neither the interest nor the intellectual capacity to implement its policies. this just leaves number one, making disastrous policies, engaging in wars, prompting media fraudulence and among many other things it increases the country's debt.

for example, do you know this government is borrowing money which not only encourages foreign dependence preliminary to a poverty-trap, it also, according to the international monetary system forces future tax payers in Somalia to pay for all this crap.

so what is this borrowed money spend on? foreign soldiers who rape and kill regardless "to keep their base safe".

WELCOME to Neo-colonialism

by the way you said Somali goverment, thats not plural, where do you leave Somaliland and Puntland? both being delicately exploited whiles obediently favouring orders which corrupts their land and extradites their people to Uncle Ethiopia
