I reccomend Baccano! It is a very good show and is fairly new. I also liked Darker than black, Berserk and Cowboy bebop.

Heard good things about Darker than Black, Berserk and Cowboy Bebop, but I don't like Berserk because of its setting (medieval Europe? Nah, I'ma skip this one), DtB and CB seem interesting, might check those two out.

I'm more of a Anime Movie guy than a Anime TV Series guy tho.


War finish what you started man, go watch the rest of Elfen Lied, it has a good story line and it isn't popular and well rated for nothing.

What do you guys prefer? Japanese with English Sub or just English Dub?

Yeah DtB is hot right now, the main character is in my avatar. Berserk is a dark fantasy, like lord of the rings, just less crap. Believe me you will enjoy it as the story progresses. Cowboy bebop is a classic, nothing can touch it as far as I'm concerned. CB and Dragonball Z are what got me interested in anime.
And about elfen lied, no way jose. I have a phobia against creepy little girls that murder people in gruesome ways for no apparent reason. I understand it's philosophy and stuff but damn, the first 15 minutes of that show can give you nightmares.

Anyway try Baccano!You wont be disappointed, it's fairly confusing in the first few episodes, but you'll get hooked soon after. If you're into movies, try Sword of the Stranger.

Elfen anime is somehow similar to Gantz, both animes have some x-rated scenes. I didn’t like both animes for some reason, added to Vampire Knight, Lol.

As 4 the Q -- I prefer English dub, the Japanese with English subtitles sucks mate (although, it takes a while to actually get an English dub. Episode)

Uff caleek Eng dub is annoying , subs envoke real emotion and I picked up some jap!

^, Lool, In some animes, the sub. are not clear and it moves so fast, before you even read it, Lol. I think that's what I call "annoying", but you do have a point there, given that, Naruto's English Dub episodes sounded bit funny to me at the beginning, Lol...

Thanks for the recommends bro, I'll def check them out. You should check out Grave of the Fireflies, I bet you're gonna cry at the end of this movie like everyone else (including me ). It's about a brother and his little sister, their parents die in the US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They stay at their aunt's house, but they get abused. They get beaten and used as slaves while her own kid plays outside and gets to eat their food! They decide to leave and live on the streets and what happens then will break your heart. Inta kale waa spoiler.

Gantz ain't bad either, lol at x-rated. I accidentally downloaded a crazy anime about a bunch of samurairs in medieval Japan and there was this Samurai that would kill and then have sex with the corpses, probably drunk on Sake. That was 7 years ago, damn time goes fast.


Japanese with Eng Sub is better, like grandpa said it envokes real emotion from the characters and Japanese is a really cool language. But I'm an Eng Dub guy too, I started out with Eng Dub anime as a small kid and it's just nostalgic for me. Don't care that Eng Dub does sound corny as fuck sometimes, because it started out with it, I have a soft spot for it.

New Dominion Tank Police was my first anime TV Series that popped my manga cherry when I was 8.

Just watch and listen to the opening, it's all about the old skool shit.
