The president of a Republic in a bilateral meeting with a neighboring state staying at the home of a petty tribal chief. Where do they manufacture Somalis?Twisted_Logic wrote:I was told that every-time, the former President of Jabuti came to Mogadishu, he was the official guest of the Mudulood Imam.

I suppose the King of Bagunda stayed with the Mushunguli Sultan in Jamaame as well?

Re: Why Djibouti Would Want A Strong Somalia
Well I can tell you it is NOT true.
p.s. Petty wasn't specifically for the Imam. It is for the institution of Somali tribal leadership. Compared to how the rest of the world's tribal leaders function and the powers they wield within their people, Somali tribal leaders really are just ceremonial.

That's true. But I still don't like people calling my Imam "petty."Voltage wrote:Well I can tell you it is NOT true.

Eritrea and Ethiopia are not a threat to Djibouti because that tiny country got two patrons who would like to keep the status quo in the horn of Africa. Somalia is still in the coma.

T-L,
Ciise Mudulood= Udeejeen.
But you are right, there is a link between Ciise of Jabuti and Mudulood in general. Whether its fabricated or not nobody knowes but there is defintely affinity between the two clans despiting living far from each other.
The Imaam hosted Jabuti president before. Matter of fact, he hosted other influential men who came to Mogadishu.

Re: Why Djibouti Would Want A Strong Somalia
Xoogsade is right and is referring to a saying from the early 1990s:
Abtidoon wa nin Hawiye, Daniel Arap Moi wa nin Darood (Moi supported MSB's attempted comeback in 1991-1992).
Isse are hoping for a strong Somalia under Hawiye rule because their interests and well being will be protected unlike under a Darood President like Abdullahi Yusuf
