Hyperactive, you should ask Basra, because she's already paid for this episode

This is just entertainment guys and the only historical person important enough to even mention was ofcourse Mujahid Siyad Abdella hassan, it's not like a documentary featured on the history channeling or something. My biggest problem is the casting and language, I want actual SOMALIS to play us, is that too hard to ask? they can be Somali bantus for all I care aslong as they hail from SOMALIA and my primary concern lies with the language, the show is based on english language and the few times they "somali" was just gibirish equivalent to "ljikeihdehdedh dnehwbdghegdyend gegsygde".
Atleast Flashforward had a semi good somali

GacanSareeye wrote:Dr but to be honest, we are way different than the Africans that Hollywood picks, its always Amistad types, with broad and distinct West African features. but they might have a point because the only public chance to show our true features was ruined by the Ceelbuur/Xarardheere pirate that is in US custody. they guy couldn't even been seen let alone finding features in him
waryaa
facial features does not matter, becouse somalis are black people and they are from . SUB-SAHARA AFRICA thats why the somali part will be always played by black african person no matter if hes south sudanes or from ghana,
Somalis and other sub-sahara black african have 2 think in common wich's both are BLACK, second both are SUB-SAHARA AFRICANS, if you do like this ((ANAGAA SOOMAALI baa NALA YIRAAHDAA bantu ma nihin waa wareey uma ekin, SANKEENA waa dheer yahay CARAB MADOOBAATEY lee nahay

Hyper, it matters because people should be represented, they wouldn't get a russian to play a blonde Norwegian, so why get a non-somali to play a somali?
Yalaxow, I don't know what kind of Somalis you grew up with or are, but Somalis do not look anything like those people. And most Somalis are maariin.
And I actually know close relatives of the Sayid, his great-grandchildren, none of them look like that guy.
