Yes it makes you a poor excuse of a woman. You weren't given a womb for decoration purposes.

Re: It takes guts to say
what a pure joke and irrationel fact...if you look in researches you will notice that landers regions are the most densily populated regions of the horn of africa... no wonder hargeysa, burco and gabileh are more populated than entire regions in the south....with war, displacement and deaths numbers in the last 20 years, it wont be a surprise if lander will comprise of 1/3 of all somali populations within the next 20 years...research and go with the numbersCirwaaq wrote:That means you have to find a man that has the same values!
or
You intend on using married men without any commitments?
Landers dont have that many kids, more then likely over the next 20years all other somali regions will have douple the population of your region.

Self defeating statement. Other regions even with their wars a mass migration out of africa still have more population.
Re: It takes guts to say
^^that statement is far from a self defeating one when it speaks the reality on the ground that hargeysa and couple of landers cities are more populated that entire regions of the south..it just proves the fallacy of your early statement because the population in the south is just decreasing at a high rate due to wars , famine, displacement for the last 20 years and still counting... Only ALLAH knows how many thousands and thousands died each year for the last 20 years and many are still dying till today and its no surprising to see that the somali army is heavily recruiting females because, maybe, most of the males are not to be found..
May ALLAH provide them with peace that is found in Somaliland..AMIIN..my prayers are with my muslims brothers and sisters of somalia who are still undergoing a genocide that has been hidden by the world media due to their indifference...

For your info name one country that the southerers dont outnumber the landers as migrants... nothing to be proud of but with reference to our discussion. Southerners marry younger and have more kids in ever country then the landers.
Even with the wars of the last 20years and a huge population migration the southern population is still higher then that of the landers. The thing i am getting at is from a global perspective with many landers marrying in the late 20ies and 30ies and their southern counterparts doing so from 18 to 23 and in addition southerners having more children on average they will alwys out number the Landers.
Re: It takes guts to say
pitty, I thought u were gonna have lightskin babies?
Re: It takes guts to say
Where do you get the numbers of what age a person married? and how do you figure that southerners have more babies than landers bcuz when i went back to hargeysa, most family (my direct family members) were at least 4 kids and only ALLAh knows how much they are right now.... I know you cant provide me with any facts because they'rea fabrication of your unstable mind but the reason im responding to you is to knock some senses into you..for your question of migrations, UK alone has more somali population than 90% of other somali migrated western countries and you know who are the clear majority over there (combine Canada, Australia, western europe minus UK).... and lastly, southerners are mainly composed by three major tribes, Darood, hawiyeh and rawanweyn, while the north is mainly inhabited by one major tribe, isaaq.. with that say, SL has a population of 3.5 mil while the rest of Somalia is estimated at 8 mil max..now you do the math and face reality sxb...Only ALLAH knows the future, but at this rate SL will have the same population as Somalia...Cirwaaq wrote:lali99 wrote:^^that statement is far from a self defeating one when it speaks the reality on the ground that hargeysa and couple of landers cities are more populated that entire regions of the south..it just proves the fallacy of your early statement because the population in the south is just decreasing at a high rate due to wars , famine, displacement for the last 20 years and still counting... I feel the sense return... 3.5mill how many non-landers are there including the marehaan, hawiye, ogadeen, oroma and djbuutians?
Neither of us can support a case on factual numbers at best we can use deductive reasoning and estimates.
Luxury, indulgence and self worship are perfect pop-control mechanism.

Re: It takes guts to say
what a dumb statementCirwaaq wrote:Statement based on migration patterns of different regions and their marital customs. More Lander girls reach their 30ies without marriage or kids and this has been a common trait observed over the varrious adoptive countries.
Secondly P.landers and Southerners tend to produce more children per household and polygamy is more prevalent.
Thirdly marriage to non-somalis is more prevalent among the S.Landers.
Connect the dots yourself.

At typical Dirty Southern savage ZooMali attempting to persuade Snetters with his dumb opinions about Somalilanders, waryaa do you really think you could win with these fallacious arguments, let me give you some advice, next time use logic if you want to support your statement ......taasay leeyihiin ha israacdo

most reer badiye somalis think the ultimate goal of a woman lifes is only to have children

also some cannot even have kids, and it doesnt make u less of a woman
markaa just be happy ,, ilmoo mise ilmoo la'aan

Re: It takes guts to say

Umm, I don't think it takes guts...I think most girls go through that stage. No one in their right mind is going to start of wanting their bodies to go through that but in the end you just come round to the idea and accept that it is part of being a female. No one knows if they'll be a mother or not so it's not really worth worrying about. I don't like the thought of my body getting invaded either but I've learnt not to say it out loud for fear of provoking those around me into say Istaaqfurullah and start getting into a long psychoanalytical crap about why I think the way I do and religious thoughts on how children are a blessing and realistic reasons for having kids with the warnings on how you'll wish you had kids when you get old and how blood is thicker than water of course not forgetting scary and sad stories about other women who never had kids as example of what not to do if you still need more convincing.
In the end, I was like...OK then, whatever...it'll happen when it happens but I'm not going to go out of my way to injure myself.

So my advice is to just accept that it is normal and get on with the programme.

If my daughter decided that motherhood and having children was not for her, then I'd support her 100%eyes-only wrote:![]()

Somali parents, particularly the women, are unable to grasp the basic concept that parenthood is not for everybody, and if someone recognises that she doesn't want to have children, then more power to her. At least she is not bringing unwanted kids to the world, like many other parents do. Somali mothers do try and fill your head with that psychoanalytical nonsense with their passive aggressive attitude, and you come away feeling that you must have children at some point in your twenties.
It's difficult to ignore it, and most end up just accepting the status-quo and go on and have a child that they never wanted in the first place.
