Well it depends, if I feel I can overpower the person, i'll act and help the old man out and try to knock that person out quick using any means necassary before they even get a chance to take out a knive or gun, but if it seems that the person can overpower me- well then i'll whisper to the oday "Sorry, next time" lol.

People can get jacked anywhere, even in your own car. Nowhere is safe. Reminds me of what El Saadawi said: "We live in a dangerous world, don't think that you're safe anywhere" after she was asked if she still feared death threats.

The robbery occurred around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, when the victim, Yusuf Hizel, was on an eastbound train along the Bloor-Danforth line.

According to Hizel, the confrontation began after a man, who was seated beside him, asked for change. Hizel refused, but was then approached by another suspect who asked the same question. When Hizel refused again, he got up to reach for the passenger-assistance alarm — the yellow strip located above the seats on all trains — and was then attacked.

Despite being held down as his wallet was taken, Hizel said none of the onlookers came to his rescue, even as he cried out for help.

“People didn't have a reaction — they just looked at me,” Hizel said. “I was frustrated.”

I did once jump in to help someone. An elderly lady was being mugged by 2 guys at a tube station in London, and after all was said and done, I came out of that situation needing few stitches above my eye. The worst thing about that was I never got as much as a Thank You for helping her out.

Where did this incident take place? Is it in Toronto?
I personally would help the man especially, if I know he is Muslim, I would fight for him.

Couldn't watch an old man/woman getting his/her butt whipped liked that?

Mental Note: Beware of taking the subway in the crime ridden City of Toronto and keep an eye on all Canadians.
