Most of the ones cheering for the Dhulbhante to destabilize their own regions are doing so that they could comfortable watch from the sidelines once shit hits the fan. Puntland is essentially a condom of Ethiopia and the rest of the Darod are not worth to be mentioned so it is kinda silly that the Dhulbhante will fall for this cheap emotional blackmailing.

This whole thing reminds me about a famous duel between an OG poet and a Dhulbhante poet in which the Dhulbhante urged the OGs to avenge their loss to the Isaaq and restore some lost pride and in which the OG poet replied by saying that the Dhulbhante poet is instigating a war simply so that he can watch the OG get annihilated.
