Thanks Helwaa. When it goes dry do you put it in water? I'm gonna buy one, insha-Allah. Start using it for Ramadan.

Walaal ILAHAY hakaa jisaa siiyo laakiin wax yaabo badan baa dadkeena ka qaldan.
Does it have to be done inside of the Masjid in front of everyone?
Some people take things way too literally.
Clean your teeth thoroughly and regularly including before each prayer, granted. But you could do this in the bathroom before you walk back to the praying area. Why do it in front of everyone inside of the Masjid? Markaasay waliba intay afka gacanta iska masaxaan doonayaan inay kugui salaamaan.
Dadka qaarbaa wis wis kugu dilaaya walaahi
I'm just saying it.

Skip it? I can't skip it. I've been told you can use toothpaste, as long as you're careful not to swallow it.
Alright, will do that.

yes it's allowed, but it is preferable not to use them because the toothpaste is too strong and may go down into the throat. Instead of doing that during the day, one should do it at night but allaho aclam.
There is olso this hadith that says Allah love the smell of the fasting person.
the messenger of Allah said "The smell that emmits from the mouth of the one who if fasting is more beloved to Allah (swt) than musk" (Bukhari)

Yeah true, but it will be hard for me to go without it. Also, doesn't your mouth emitt the odour 'cause you haven't been eating? Brushing your teeth with toothpaste doesn't affect it..the odour comes later on.

Meesha waxaa isku yimid flight 13 straight out of the bush oo gadh dheer la baxay nadaafadan u haysta waysada waji la marinayoo qudha. Some of them walk into the praying rug with filthy sweaty sox. Hada waa halkii sujuuda la dhigaayay. Markaasaa hadaad wax u sheegtana lagu odhanayaa waa gaal ismood.
One thing I found out, our people are not big in personal hygiene and it gets frustrating when you have to share facilities.

i dont like miswak/caday Somali. i prefer tooth brush. i love my teeth though.
one way to keep the teeth healthier is to use straw everytime you want to drink sweet/cold drinks.
