There is a substantial evidence of geological study and assessment on Ahl Medo (Al Mado, Cal Madow) region According to a team of geologists who had done this exploration in the late 50s, 60, and late 80s. According to them Al Mado basin contains considerable Jurassic oil reserves. Political risks in the whole country mostly hampered its development.
