What many people make fun of is not the camels mating. It is the Somali Camel herders who when the Camel male (rati) is mating the Camel female (Hasha/qaalinta) help the rati and pinpoint for him

. There was this Somali Banadiri guy and if any Somali gets argument with him, he used to say "adi maxaan kaala hadlaa lamagoodlaa tahee. Waxaa tahay nimankii oo geela ninkiisa intii u qabto geedkiisa ugu toosiya geela naagtiisa"

It is used to be big jokes in those days when that fella was round in that town at that time.

So these Pakis are not surprised about the Camel mating but I think they see the Somali guy helping the Camel male (ratiga).
