Faisal could have built this mosque anywhere in that whole vicinity but he CHOSE to build it at that site.

The mosque is 2 blocks away from Ground Zero, u can't even see it there. There's a closer mosque to ground zero than the Cordoba House.

I dont understand why he needs to apologize or reach out to anyone. It wasnt the muslim umma that casued the 9-11 attacks......most people believe it was an inside job anyways.

May you grive! I am not against the building of Masjid's! That is a dangerous allegation my friend. I am against people like Imam Faisal using the Masjid issue for his own gain. Just because it is your right to build anywhere doesnt mean you should utilise that right.

Umar ibn al Khattab (Karamallahu wajhuh) when he entered Jerusalem was given the offer to pray in the Great Church of the Holy Sepulchre by the Patriarch himself! Umar refused and said: I am afraid the Muslims will take this place as a place of prayer after me. He prayed outside the church and guess what, there is a mosque at that same spot! Look at the wisdom of Umar!

We can pray anywhere, however just because its our right doesnt mean that we should always utilise it. Sometimes a little bit of wisdom can do wonders

RuralMan 08, you have a habit of invoking religion and misapplying it, maybe its an attempt to come across as pious and trustworthy, but you are miserably failing. You dont know much about this man but you have called him the devil, accused him of inflaming hatred when we all know who is actually behind the hatred. Those people hate everything that is associated with Islam or have irrational fear due to ignorance, yet you slander the character of a man who hasnt done anything other than demand his rights.
