On 09/11 2001, political Islam died.
I understood it on the spot .......I was mesmerized ..... I was like Goeth at the battle of Valmy! 8-)

When the towers collapsed, it clearly appeared to me that the old muslim world crumbled...
it was like Hulegu's horses marching on the body (in a sac) of the last arab Khalif!!

The last nine years were difficult for the muslims, but the idea of adapting to the new reality is taking place
Democracy is, for the first time discussed as somthing possible ...the rest will follow!!!

RIP those who died on 9/11 and those killed by the Americans as its consequence!

B.

I was starting 8th grade and I remember that morning eating my breakfast and not really registering what was going on because most of the people in my family were sleep except my mom getting our break fast and my two younger brothers in the bathrooms getting ready. I checked to watch morning cartoon and there was some panned view on the Washington mall, then checked another channel was the same, another channel and about the same broad cast. Then checked out CNN and that is when I saw the second tower getting hit live. At that point I yelled for my mom who woke up my dad and the rest of the family. So Fah, unlike you guys, since we are 3 hours behind we actually went to school after the towers got hit. But we didn't do schit except watch t.v. I remember I walked straight into homeroom and Ms Chako our Indian math teacher and homeroom ed told us to listen to the intercom. The principal came on and trying to instill the magnitude of what happened but I don't think many of us registered until they turned on the t.v and we watched what was going on.

I was in Italy, we were at a Piazza and this hijabi Arab woman comes to us and starts shouting at my mom pointing to the sky. Now I didn't understand what she was saying but she sounded so happy I thought there was something really interesting about to happen in the old church we were standing next to. But then she said "Amerik..." somthing something, then still pointing to the sky she shouted "Alxamdulillah!" "Alxamdulillah!"

I would never have guessed that she was celebrating such a thing. Wey iga yaabisey :?

i dont believe this, 2001 and Xijaabi in Italy ? come on man, that dont sound right to be frank. anyway why would you post this when you know all it does instigate like the crazy man who wanted to burn the Quraan on this day. spreading hatred is one thing, but magnifying almost nonexisting racist minorities opinion and acts for the purpose to instigate is something on its own twisted league.

You will use any excuse to argue with me soma'aha

Yes hijabi in Italy in 2001. Why would that be such a shock? As far as I am aware Italy has never had a ban on hijabs, aeroplanes had already been invented and freedom of movement was in practise in 2001. Everyone is talking about their experiences, that was mine, instigate whatever it may.

granpa bro im not commenting on her character but her remark, it seems like she has no sympathy for either those who died or those who suffered hate crimes as a result of this day. i just think its out of order to go further and actually instigate, maybe she will have the decency to give me and everyone on this board an apology.
