If I zoom in Awbare in my google earth, it says "Somali Refugees at Taferi Bir". Is this the refugee camp you were referring to. I know the difference between the "Awbare woreda" and the Awbare town. I was saying how come the same source you are qouting had 35k for Awbare and 22k for Harta Sheekha when every one who knows how to use google earth/map knows Harta Sheekh is twice as big. One additional note, Not that it makes any difference but It seems AwBare is not 100% Sabkaroon waayo as I closely look the map of the district, I see it includes Wajaale and Southern Wajaale where there are huge Jibriil Abokor settlements.

One last thing to show you how this type of census taking is unreliable, The Liban region was once recorded to have 900k - 1 million population, making it the 2nd most populous Somali region. But in the last few stats taken, it shows close to 500k or half of what they estimated in early nineties.

In this particular thread, I would like to state few undisputed facts.

With those facts alone, comparing GudoBiiris to Isaaq is like comparing Nepal to China.

Here is the list of Federal reps before last election. The clan proportion is some what the same with few exceptions like Gudobiiris gaining one seat and Ciise losing one of their four seats.


The Gudabiiris land is same or less than that of Sacad Muuse.



This bullshit about AwBarre having 340,000 population and 260,000 of those voting is beyond believable.How could that be possible!!! Does that mean even 3 month-old infants were allowed to vote. Plus, AwBarre has 70,000 more people than Jigjiga woreda, come on!! This aerial survey method they conducted in the Somali zone is lacking credibility. The same damn survey records AwBare town has more people than a city twice its size(Harta-Sheikh).

One last thing about AwBare district is why didn't those numbers translate into federal parliamentary seats! There was no single Federal rep before last election for the Indha-xabaglayaasha.

saudi arabia is 20 times larger than Bangladesh.. yet its 20 times less populated.
again land size is not directly proportional with the population, if u only went to school u would ve known this.. Isxaar's land is larger but its deserted too just like Saudi arabia (refer to the map posted earlier)

these are not major towns they are tiny towns.. Aware and Gashamo is 95,000 each. Harshin is 80 Danot is 47. ur largest is Kebri byaha in which u only compose 1/2 of pop. ( and im being too generous) .
all in all u Isxaars dont make up even 300,000
