kansas city and omaha are not in the same direction. kansas city has a semi old somali community that arrived in the early 1990s.Monk-of-Mogadishu wrote:I thought only Somali Bantus lived in Kansas City and Omaha, I hear they have beefs with the Dinkas. lol@ Affordable real state...Berke wrote:Kansas City is a decent city. What is there? Jobs, good schools and affordable real estate.

Saaxiib those buildings don't belong to you so stop wasting the pages. Every American city has high rises and football fields.
Second, there are no jobs in Kansas.....meet butchers perhaps but no decent jobs in Kansas.
We know why Somalis go to these remote unconventional states. INCENTIVES.

Re: Somalis hijack a Kansas City election
Surprisingly Louisville, Kentucky has a huge Somali Bantu population. I remember watching an episode of 48 hrs on A&E a few months ago of a shooting in some ghetto there and I could spot a few Somali Bantus walking around & poking their heads out of their doors to look around as the investigators were doing a door-to-door. Imagine going from the deepest parts of Gosha subsistent farming and ending up in one of the worst ghettos in this country with niggas popping each other every night.

Re: Somalis hijack a Kansas City election
You must not know America; these small states always have abundant jobs. Factory work is what most Somalis go for, there are a lot of jobs in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, the Dakotas, and southern Minnesota. Somalis go to remote states because there are less expenses, less loopholes for commercial opportunities, and always a surplus of jobs and elevating lifestyle quality unlike california and new york that are on the decline; a lot of those northern states have large welfare programs but in general they have surplus dollars to spend. Those states tend to have few immigrants which means more space to accommodate new immigrants and no competition for immigrant work and housing programs.Dhaga Bacayl wrote: Saaxiib those buildings don't belong to you so stop wasting the pages. Re: Somalis hijack a Kansas City election
this is kansas city, the biggest city in the state of Missouri, and not Kansas the state. and i never claimed those buildings belong to somalis and i am surprised you took what said to mean that. i guess you can't read well. the city does have affordable housing and many somalis here live in their own houses that they have purchased and have been living here since the early 1990s. this is possible in america. what makes you think anyone moved there for welfare. welfare is not easy to come by in this part of the world like it is in canada where you have people still living in government subsidized apartments in high-rise buildings in toronto since the 1980s.

Re: Somalis hijack a Kansas City election
You know I've always wondered why that happens. There are Somalis in Minneapolis with broken English and cabbie jobs who live in 3br houses but I've never seen Canadian Somalis on private property despite having been completely assimilated.Berke wrote:in canada where you have people still living in government subsidized apartments in high-rise buildings in toronto since the 1980s.

Re: Somalis hijack a Kansas City election
There's even an active Somali mosque in KC, Missouri. They mostly work in manufacturing.
Somalis are also moving in to Iowa from MN for jobs, mostly in meat packing. After that infamous INS bust at a major meat packing in Iowa involving some 400 Guatemalans, Somalis moved in and filled those jobs.
It was on NPR a while back. Did anyone catch that segment?

What about the projects in MN and Ohio. What about Maine and Seattle?
Lets no kid ourselves saaxiib. Majority of the Somali families in America are incentive recipients in some sort.
Somalis are the largest minority group with Section 8 vouchers.
BTW, I know the difference between Kansas City Mo and Kansas State. No geographic lesson is needed in that regard.
It’s possible that you’re doing well for yourself there but please don’t come here and make it sound like Mo is the place to be because it ain’t.

That is a ridiculous statement bro. The Somali population in America is not even one percent of the size of the African American or Mexican population in America. As for Kansas city I am not even from there but to paint it as some backwater ghost town is quite misleading.Somalis are the largest minority group with Section 8 vouchers.

Berke, Dhagabacayl always makes ridiculous statements like that. For someone that claims to live in gritty Philadelphia, he sure can talk about somewhere else. I have had relatives in Kansas City as long as I have lived here and it is a nice place to make a good living. Matter of fact I plan to move to the midwest to sow my seeds.

What these Somali Maryooleys need to understand is that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats. It is a one party system and these whole two party system is just designed to confuse the electorate and the masses.
Every election in America, you will hear about the black vote, Hispanic, women, catholic voters, and so forth. It is all designed to obscure who is pulling the strings behind the scene. Can you believe an Israeli firm was counting the Democractic voters' vote during the primary season in 2004?
There are folks who are in charge and there are the masses who just believe in the script. It is a cycle that never ends.
as stalin said"pple vote we count"
