Fyi, C/raxmaan Faroole is an elected president of PL and there is a peace that exists there.

Al-Shabaab resisted Ethiopian invasion in December 2006, kicked the warlords out of Southern Somalia, and restored peace and stability in Southern and parts of Central Somalia. They are going far beyond that and helping the poor thru Zaka collection which is a major tenet in Islam. One should be prepared to tell the truth when they do good and should be prepared to point their mistakes when they commit those mistakes.

If the rest of the Somalis failed to come up another viable option, I think we should get out of the hate and the blame game and see what they are doing for the Somalis in Southern Somalia who suffered for so long. Any one who witness the Meherijaan in Mogadishu, Merca, and Kismayu this week coupled with this Zaka (Charity) collection and its distribution to the poor can see the sea change in Southern Somalia. I ask myself if the world did not care about Somalia for almost twenty years why sudenly the world wants to care about her with bombs, invasions with mercenary forces, and cantonizinbg Somalia?

On a personal note, I am saddened by how some Somalis hate any good news that comes out of Somalia.

sxb i dont wana make assumption but i saw you cheering for faroole...and as alshabab supporter (only if u honest alshabab supporter ) u should go against their enemies including faroole..otherwise as brother hyper stated ur supporting so called islamist whn they dont go against ur qabiil interest ...no offense sxb but if its true as i stated above then dat wht i call true hypocrite

So posting here a news from other websites makes me hypocrite? I think you need to seek help ASAP. What I don't understand why it is bothering you the Zaka (charity) collection and distribution to the poor in Somalia? Ok you hate Al-Shabaab, so you will attack reporting a good news from the South? Looks like if you don't like the good news from Somalia, the next thing is to attack the messenger. That is the true hypocrisy I see.
