The original Somalis are both offsprings of Dir and sub-sections of Oromo, including the Hawiye-Boon-Boni- Gogarte-Gabooye and Gabre.

Dir inhabit both North and South Somalilands, while the sub-set of Oromos inhabit majority of the South including scattered Northern plains.
Assalaam Caleeykum Muftaax,
Greetings Ô you fellow therorician!

Wats the difference between Boon and Boni? do they speak somali?

In Ancient Bantu language "Ba" stands for people , hence Bantu=Ba-Ntu = The powerful and beautiful people.
The two Oromo moeieties r called Bareento and Borana (from the south)
In South-oromo the sound A becomes O,
thus probably we have Borana=Ba-rana and Bareento=Ba-reento
This definitely shows that Oromos r Bantu!! it only suffices to know wat "reento" and "rana" mean in ancient Bantu language.

I heard there r a lot of Somali tribes with names starting with Ba=Bah, clearly indicating the Bantuness of Somali nation :rose:

PS Your theory and mine r not contradicting...mine just generalizes yours
