They lack much diversity hence their emphasis on qabiil, it's either a,b or c, I can almost picture emperor itching to know the next mans info while in the south it's pointless cus millions of clans live side by side.

You are such a wise guy man. You perfectly touched why some somalis are more prone to clan association than others. If you left Muqdisho back in the days and headed towards the North, the closer you got to the North, the more extreme/reliant people were on clan for good and for bad. You don't have much diversity as you went up in Somalia. Koonfurta, too many clans reside side by side and that transformed them into less obsessed with Clan. Anyone who thinks I am picking on their clan, observe the forum. It is not Only Northern Somalis, but Somalis from Mudug are almost the same, they are a bit less passionate but still up there at bar with their northern neighbours in being clan oriented.

Southern Somalis- Less inclined to bother you with Clan. These Somalis can be Darood or Hawiye, they have the same attitude towards Qabiil - an identity at best and nothing to be obsessed over on a constant basis. The difference is the Daarood section In mudug and upper towards North, iyagu waa similar to Reer waqooyi in terms of Clan priority and obsession with it. I know many Waqooyians, and they are OK. The ones I knew in Koonfur were generally polite, courteous and friendly. One thing I like about them (unlike some Koonfurians and Barians); they don't make fun about your Somali accent, as they try to accommodate it and make the conversation pleasant.
